Amanda Crump was born and raised in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Music Business from Northwestern State University of Louisiana. Amanda grew tired of the small town life and decided to attend grad school and pursue a Graduate Assistantship. She is currently employed as such in the Jazz Department at UNLV. Amanda is always trying to expand her skill set. You can find her anywhere from soloing in a jazz band, playing alto trombone in an orchestra, or playing euphonium in a brass band.

As a classical musician, Amanda’s credits include playing with the South Arkansas Symphony as well as musical productions with Shreveport Symphony musicians. Besides playing in several of UNLV’s ensembles, Amanda can be seen freelancing around Las Vegas and the surrounding areas. She teaches undergraduate ensembles at UNLV and assists with the day to day operations of the Jazz Program.
